SUMMER TRIPS
Summertime in Lebanon can get hot. We encourage you to look at the weather in Zahlé, Lebanon, when packing to determine what you might need and plan accordinly.
Everyone:
Waist (fanny) pack or small backpack for ministry
Large water bottle
Electrolytes + snacks
Hand sanitizer
Sunglasses
Power converter (Lebanon uses UK, but we suggest you get the global converter from Amazon)
Sunscreen
Watch
Toiletries
$100-$175 of cash for spending
Guys:
Shorts
2-3 Nice collar shirts
3-4 pants for ministry
4-5 basic tees (for ministry)
1-2 graphic tees
1 pair of supportive shoes (you will be walking a lot)
A pair of nicer shoes/ sneakers or boots like Blundstones
A pair of sandals, or shoes, that you can slip on and off easily
Sleeveless shirts/ cut off
These can only be worn inside at home base
Hats
Dark socks for home visits (white ones will get dirty)
Underwear
Girls:
3 skirts
3 dresses, or overalls
3 ministry pants
4-5 basic tees (for ministry)
1-2 graphic tees
1 nice shirt
1 pair of jeans (no holes, not tight)
1 pair of supportive shoes (you will be walking a lot)
1 pair of nicer shoes, sandals, or boots like Blundstones
1-2 comfy outfits for home base
These outfits can be shorts, but they must be long shorts, no shorts that are more than 3-4 inches above the knee.
Girls are allowed to wear tank tops inside and occasionally outside when with warm house staff, not in ministry. Always ask Warm House Staff before wearing a tank top outside of home base.
No crop tops
Dark socks for home visits (white ones will get dirty)
